1.THE CHALLENGE

The expansion project faced highly expansive clay subgrade. Monterrey’s extreme weather led to:

Pavement Rutting: Rapid deformation under heavy industrial loads.

Reflective Cracking: Moisture buildup at the base causing surface fatigue.

Maintenance Risks: Significantly reduced service life of the highway infrastructure.

2.SOLUTION

CHANGFENG’s integrated dual-action system was deployed to provide reinforcement and drainage in one step:

Reinforcement: The CHANGFENG Biaxial Geogrid locks the aggregate, creating a “stiffened slab” that increases load capacity.

Moisture Control: The Filament Non-woven Geotextile acts as a separator and filter, facilitating rapid lateral drainage.
