Common technical challenges include: (1) Toxic leachate leakage: Traditional concrete or clay layers are prone to micro-cracks, allowing pollutants to seep into groundwater. (2) Secondary self-healing layer: Sodium bentonite waterproofing blanket (GCL) is laid, its water-swelling property providing a “self-healing” function, serving as a double guarantee. (2) Risk of uneven settlement: Construction on soft silty soil foundations can easily cause the structure to tilt or crack.
